Tourist Tracks looks to work with trade

Audio tour company Tourist Tracks has recently completed its tenth destination and is looking to work with the trade.

The company provides audio walking tours which tourists can download onto their MP3 player or buy the CD.

Since launching 18 months ago, they have developed ten destinations, including London, Brighton and Bath. Guides to Glasgow and Edinburgh were launched on the Tourism Innovation Day.

Tourist Tracks is working with tour operator Superbreak. Tours director Tim Gillett, a former journalist, said: “We have a link on their website and we’re looking to add the tours as part of packages. We’d love to work with agents as well to help them add value to domestic breaks.”

The tours are commissionable and cost £5 to download. The guides tell the user about their immediate surroundings, then show them where to go next using a map.
