Shearings Holidays has joined the Federation of Tour Operators.
Following its recent rebranding and management changes, the hotel and leisure group which carries nearly 900,000 passengers a year joined the organisation at the beginning of the month.
Shearings joining with the FTO brings the total number of members to 12.
Shearings chief executive Denis Wormwell said: “Shearings are delighted to join the FTO and are looking forward to becoming actively involved with promoting the professional and positive image of the industry.
“By becoming members we can use our considerable experience in UK and European tour operating for the good of the organisation. We are very pleased to have been invited into the Federation.”
FTO director general Andy Cooper said: “We are delighted to welcome Shearings Holidays to the FTO. They are a major player in the industry with a long and distinguished reputation.
“Our broadened membership enables us to have ever greater impact with policymakers, governments and trade partners in the UK and overseas to keep up our influence for change on issues ranging from health, safety, the environment and regulatory improvements.”
