Bourne Leisure has been named among the top 20 best big companies to work for by the Sunday Times.
Bourne Leisure, which comprises Butlins, Haven and Warner Leisure Hotels, employs 16,000 people in the summer and 8,000 year-round.
The company was judged on employees’ satisfaction and their attitude towards their employer. Head of retail sales Allan Lambert said: “We are ecstatic at having achieved 15th place in the prestigious Sunday Times awards scheme, particularly as we were competing against over 800 other companies!
“Our top position in this poll is as a result of our ongoing dedication to staff training, support and employee incentives across our three brands. Having gained this impressive position in 2008, Bourne Leisure will continue to invest time, money and resources in its staff and strive to further improve its results for next year’s Awards.”
Meanwhile, Australian-owned travel agency Flight Centre UK was named number 51 in the newspaper’s 100 best companies to work for.
Head of flight centre’s recruitment division Peopleworks, Lin Hinditch, said: “Our commitment to making Flight Centre one of the best companies to work for in the country continues to pay dividends.
“We value the feedback that we get from our employees and use the results to ensure we are continually improving the working environment for everyone.”
