Simpson Travel has appointed former Hebridean International Cruises sales and marketing director Peter Williams as its managing director.
Williams – who has 20 years’ experience in the travel industry – joins the specialist upmarket tour operator on March 31.
Williams, who will be responsible for running the company on a day-to-day basis, said: “I am looking forward to the challenge and opportunity this new position represents.”
The operator’s founder Graham Simpson, who is also Watford Football Club chairman, has been acting MD since the departure of Simon Beeching in October 2006 after two and a half years in the job.
Simpson Travel is in its seventh year of operation and offers holidays to Greece, Corsica, Morocco, Turkey, Italy and Spain.
