Flight details and fares have been issued for this year’s Abta Travel Convention in the Azores.
Azores Airlines will run direct flights for delegates from London to Ponta Delgada, the host city for the event in October.
Return fares for delegates cost £238.02 in economy and £448.02 in business class, including taxes.
The four-hour flights will depart Gatwick on Sunday, October 8 at 2pm and Monday, October 9 at 7.30am. The returns are on Wednesday, October 11 at 6.15pm and Thursday, October 12 at 3.10pm.
Azores Airlines is also offering preferential rates to and from Lisbon to Ponta Delgada for delegates wishing to travel before or after the dedicated direct flights, or from outside London.
Details of how to book will be provided at the time of registration. Convention hotels on Sao Miguel Island are a few minutes drive away from Ponta Delgada airport.
Abta chief executive Mark Tanzer said: “As 2017 gets underway, we are excited to be launching flights for the Travel Convention in October.
“Thanks to Azores Airlines, delegates will be able to reach Ponta Delgada directly and I would encourage people not to miss out on the opportunity to see the Azores islands, one of the world’s last unspoilt wildernesses.
“This year’s convention also promises to address the key issues facing our industry and to provide valuable insights for delegates.
“We are also pleased to continue working with Travel Weekly as our official trade media partner for this year’s convention. We look forward to working together to deliver another outstanding event.”
