MSC Cruises launches mini brochures

MSC Cruises has launched mini brochures for the first time, introducing South Africa itineraries.

The programmes are in addition to MSC’s main 2009 brochure, which will be launched this weekend at the christening of MSC Poesia in Dover. Agents will have a chance to hear about the highlights of the cruiseline’s 2009 programme from the company with a special presentation planned on board.

The three mini-brochures for 2008/09, which will be given to agents on board MSC Poesia, focus on ocean voyages, Christmas and New Year cruises, and Caribbean itineraries.

MSC Cruises UK and Ireland managing director Claudia Baino said the brochures had been split by destination or season to make it easier for agents to sell the company’s cruises, particularly more niche product, to customers.

In the Ocean Voyages brochure, new itineraries include a 22-day cruise on MSC Melody from Italy to South Africa from £1,640 per person including flights, departing October 28 2008. Meanwhile, MSC Rhapsody is offering a South Africa to Italy cruise from £1,740 per person, including flights, for 23 days, departing March 3 2009.

The brochure also introduces a 17-day cruise from Florida to Dover with a two-day stopover in New York city, departing May 2 2009. It leads in at £1,140 per person including flights.

The Christmas brochure features itineraries on MSC Fantasia around the Mediterranean, while the Caribbean programme has cruises on MSC Orchestra and MSC Lirica, including a combined Christmas and New Year cruise.
