Hurtigruten creates two new sales roles to drive trade sales

Hurtigruten has created two new sales roles to help grow trade sales over the next few years.

Simon McDermott, formerly national sales manager for Faremine, has taken the new post of regional sales manager for the north.

Previously there was one regional sales manager for all of the UK. This has now been split into two, with Neil Barclay covering the south. Both will visit agencies to drive up sales.

Shakira Falzon Thomas has been appointed to the other new sales post of office-based dedicated agency sales executive to provide day to day contact for the trade. She was previously in Hurtigruten’s reservations team.

The cruiseline has created a further new role of reservations and groups manager. Sandra Urban joins from NCL.
