A British holidaymaker has died in Tenerife after being injured in a fight.
Daryl Bhandal, 36, from London, was celebrating his birthday when the brawl broke out on Friday at an unnamed hotel in the resort of Puerto de Santiago, in the south west of the island.
He was rushed to a hospital with severe head injuries but pronounced dead at around 3am on Saturday morning.
A 26-year-old man and his girlfriend, both British tourists said to have been involved in the altercation with Mr Bhandal and his partner, have been arrested, according to the London Evening Standard.
The woman was held on suspicion of throwing the wet floor sign at Bhandal during a row.
It is not known if the four were friends, although they are understood to have jetted to Tenerife the same day just hours before the incident and were staying at the same hotel.
