Brits survive Egyptian bus crash

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office has said to date no Britons are known to have died in the Egyptian bus crash.

It said only two UK nationals were on the tourist bus and both escaped with minor burns.  The bus they were taking from Sharm el-Sheikh to Cairo flipped over and burst into flames this morning. Nine tourists have now died.

The two British survivors are now among the 28 injured who are being treated in hospitals near Sharm el-Sheikh.

While the cause of the accident remains unknown, it is thought it was caused by a burst tyre.
