BRYMONAirways, the West country-based British Airways subsidiary, is looking for a new managing director after a role swap for Gareth Kirkwood.
BA has made him managing director of its world cargo division, based at Heathrow.
His links with Brymon will remain, however, as BA has also made him chairman of the airline and Plymouth City Airport, where the carrier runs a significant part of its operations.
Kirkwood will succeed Kevin Hatton, who retires from the cargo division in the spring.
In the three-and-a-half years Kirkwood has been Brymon’s chief executive he has grown the carrier’s network from a mainly West country regional carrier to an international airline serving European cities.
He was also behind the first delivery of jets to Brymon and the building up of the Bristol International Airport hub.
