Manchester to Salzburg flights are to be introduced by German low-cost carrier Eurowings next winter
A twice-weekly service to the Austrian city is due to start on December 4 to coincide with the start of the ski season.
Flights will run on Mondays and Fridays until March 23, 2018 using an A320. Fares start at £54.99 each way.
The airline’s network development and airport relations manager,
Ivan Orec, said: “On this route, with our low fares, we offer our passengers free of charge transport of their ski equipment.”
Eurowings currently flies to Cologne, Dusseldorf and Hamburg from Manchester year-round.
Airport commercial director, Stephen Turner, said: “It’s great to see Eurowings expanding their presence here at Manchester with the introduction of this new route.
“We have seen this year that the ski market continues to grow and we’re confident this new route to Salzburg will prove hugely popular with our passengers looking to take advantage of the great ski resorts in the Alps.”
