Universal Orlando Resort has appointed a new UK-based managing director to lead its sales and marketing strategy in the UK.
Simon Presswell takes up the role immediately and will be based in the theme park’s new sales and marketing office in London which has been relocated to the capital from Manchester.
Universal Orlando Resort vice president of international sales and marketing Dennis Quinn said: “Simon comes to the Universal Orlando Resort with strong experience in sales and marketing gained both within the travel industry and other high-profile industries.
“We look to Simon to continue to grow our strong client relationships while helping us increase awareness of all the exciting new attractions and happenings at Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood.”
Prior to Presswell’s appointment at Universal, he was regional vice president for Europe, the Middle East and Africa for remote access firm Citrix Online and has also worked for the Cendant Corporation, lastminute.com, American Express and Thomas Cook.
