UK Cruise Convention: ACE extends online training

ACE is extending its online travel agent training with new destination-based learning programmes.

The first, developed by Cruise Baltic, has six sections with destination and travel information, interactive maps and advice on how to sell the region. It goes live on June 2 and will be followed by four more training programmes, starting with one on the Eastern Mediterranean.

Harmer said: “In March this year we trained more agents than in the whole of 2004 and 2005 combined and our core focus for 2008 remains to enhance our training.”

ACE is launching an on-line training module on cruiseship facilities for the disabled in the next couple of months as well as 20 courses focusing on marketing, PR and customer relations under the ACE know-how umbrella.

This will be supported by a seven-city training roadshow in October with guest speakers, workshops and cruise trade fairs.
