NCL Norwegian Jade emerges from dry dock refit

Norwegian Cruise Line ship Norwegian Jade has emerged from a refit in dry dock ahead of the line’s first full summer of sailings from the UK.

The 2,466-passenger vessel has been revamped over three weeks with two new restaurants, two new bars and lounges, updated design and decor in many public spaces and a refurbishment of all cabins.

The ship completes its winter season of sailings from Tampa in Florida to the Caribbean on April 30 and will then reposition across the Atlantic for its dual summer homeports of Southampton and Hamburg.

The new-look Norwegian Jade will run itineraries to the Norwegian fjords as well as Norway and the North Cape throughout the summer.

NCL Europe, Middle East and Africa managing director, Christian Boell, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Norwegian Jade back to Europe this summer with her upgraded look.

“It is our sincere goal to deliver a fantastic vacation experience across our entire fleet, and this has come in time for Jade’s arrival in Europe, where she will be sailing directly from Southampton.

“With five ships in Europe this summer, we are so excited for passengers to experience the newly renovated Jade on European waters.”
