Sandals is launching a new website to increase travel agents’ knowledge of its product.

The company’s first travel trade website – – will serve as an information tool for travel agents, featuring in-depth details of its Caribbean resorts, competitions and training academies.

Agents will also be able to book ancillary services such as spa treatments and weddings through the site and earn commission on these sales.

Sandals market development director Phil Dickinson said the training academies will include modules covering each resort, offering the chance to learn about their amenities, such as Red Lane Spas, specialist weddings, butler service, water sports, restaurants and entertainment. Agents will receive a certificate for every module they complete, providing Certified Sandals Specialist status.

The site will also feature an incentive scheme whereby travel agents accrue points for every Sandals booking they register. Agents will be able to work towards bookings targets and exchange points for free nights in resort, iPods or fam trip places.
