Travel agents will be able to book Cosmos’s tours, cruises and beach holidays online for the first time.

The operator, which has undergone a full rebrand from Cosmos Tours & Cruises to Cosmos, is staggering the launch of its dedicated trade portal from next week.

Its new-look website, which incorporates a new Cosmos logo and the strapline Adventures Made Easy, will offer an agent tab for the trade to log on to search holidays and book all its holidays.

The portal will calculate agents’ commission, produce e-documents for clients, and offer a new search facility which Cosmos says will be easier and faster to use than its existing website.

Head of sales Janet Parton said: “We will still have a call centre with a freephone number but this puts us ahead of others in the touring sector.”

Cosmos is also launching a price promise which will allow clients to cancel their holiday before the balance due date and rebook within 12 months without losing their deposit.

Agents will also be able to offer customers the option to change their holiday plans before the balance is due without incurring an administration fee.

Parton added: “We understand that life throws curve balls and we don’t want to adher to strict terms and conditions; we want to be easier to do business with.”

A Cosmos ‘toolkit’ outlining all the changes is being sent to agents, while trade webinars are also offered for agents who want training to use the new site.
