Rabbie’s Trail Burners launches new tours for 2009

Members of the public boasting Scottish heritage can find out more about their past thanks to new a range of new cultural tours.

Rabbie’s Trail Burners managing director Robin Worsnop has launched six different clan tours for 2009, covering the MacDonald, Macleod, Campbell, Macgregor, Cameron and Robertson clans.

They are being held to coincide with the Diaspora, a meeting of the clans, which is being held in Edinburgh in July next year. Coinciding with the 250th anniversary of Rabbie Burns’ birthday, the Diaspora will act as a reunion for those with Scottish heritage from around the world.

Worsnop said: “A lot of people don’t have any idea about what the history of their families are, they’ve lost touch.

“The tours are a wonderful way for people who are out of touch with their roots to come back to Scotland and discover more about their family heritage.”
