Travel.co.uk has delayed launching its service by a couple of weeks to iron out some technical issues with suppliers.
The site, which is designed as a hybrid between price comparison and online travel agency, was scheduled to launch at the beginning of this month.
Managing director Ray Mason said he had anticipated the delay and that it was down to integrating information from multiple suppliers and ensuring price accuracy.
“It’s nothing I am at all surprised about. We’re breaking ground with a brand new business model and we have really tried to make it a fantastic customer journey. You only get the chance to launch once.”
He added that the service had many plans in the pipeline so integration had to be right from the start.
