New eating options will be added as part of a revamp to one of Celebrity Cruises’ older ships
The work to Celebrity Constellation, launched 15 years ago, will be carried out over two weeks in dry dock from Friday.
The refurbishment comes ahead of summer of sailings by the 2,170-passenger ship in the Mediterranean, the Arabian Gulf, India and the Far East.
The enhancements include a burger bar on the top deck, the introduction of a Qsine dining venue to march those on the line’s Solstice class vessels and a rooftop terrace with outdoor film screen.
Top suites will be updated while new technology will allow passengers to use their cruise card to unlock their cabin door.
President and chief executive Lisa Lutoff-Perlo said: “We are continually pushing the boundaries of the cruise experience, so we are adding some incredible new features to Celebrity Constellation.
“In addition to introducing the ever-popular restaurant Qsine, we are launching an entirely new culinary experience, Top Deck Burger Bar. On top of that, we’re also incredibly excited about the addition of our Rooftop Terrace and the iconic Taste of Film experience.
“Additionally, we are unveiling some other ship enhancements to our suites, revealing a stunning shopping bazaar and our signature portrait studio.”
