TUI airlines Thomsonfly and First Choice Airways will fly as Thomson Airways from next May following amalgamation of the carriers last month.
The rebranding follows the merger of German-owned TUI and First Choice Holidays to form TUI Travel last September. The choice of the Thomson name for the carrier reflects consumer recognition of the brand in the UK. The group brands its airlines across the rest of Europe as TUIfly.
The Thomson and First Choice names will remain on the high street and rebranding the 65 aircraft will take until 2010.
Thomsonfly and First Choice have been operating as a single airline under one air operator’s certificate since May 1.
