Pacific Princess set for UK season after refit

Princess Cruises’ smallest ship Pacific Princess is heading for a summer season of sailings from the UK after a two-week refit.

Work to the 670-passenger vessel covers cabins, four renovated restaurants and 178,000 square feet of new carpet laid.

The ship’s atrium has been upgraded with a New York City hotel design, while the pool deck has a garden theme, featuring modernised tiling and refinished teak woods.

New lounge furniture includes double bed loungers and casual seating groups of outdoor living sofas, lounge chairs and pool chaises.

The ship, sporting the Princess livery on its hull, is heading to Dover from Fort Lauderdale in Florida to run a summer season of sailings in Europe.

These include an eight-night Ireland, Wales and Scotland voyage with the option to attend the Military Tattoo festival in Edinburgh, departing on August 2.

The European itineraries will be followed by an 111-day world cruise from Los Angeles on January 20, 2018.
