Jetset introduces hold facility on flights

Jetset Flights has introduced options on its scheduled flights to make booking more flexible for travel agents.

Agents can hold flights until the end of the working day, for 24 hours or for 48 hours depending on the airline and price.

Jetset national sales manager Paul Molyneux said: “This will transform the way agents book scheduled flights, as agents have been pressing us to make options available. This complete solution is something that is not offered by other major flight wholesalers, and it represents a considerable investment by Jetset.”

“It will help agents clinch sales when customers are unable to confirm arrangements. It will also help them increase agents’ sales of tailormade holidays, secure in the knowledge that a flight booking is being held.”

Jetset Flights, which celebrates its 40th anniversary this year,  has abolished consumer brochures in favour of an agents’ guide and enhanced functionality online. The company was brought back into independent hands in 2003 after four years as part of MyTravel.
