Fred Olsen Cruise Lines has put all its music-themed cruises together in one brochure for the first time.
The Music at Sea brochure features cruises offering everything from classical and big band music to rock and roll, jazz, latin and opera.
It includes Balmoral’s 12-night cruise round the British Isles, which departs Dover on October 7, 2008, and features the big band sounds of Bill Tole’s Jimmy Dorsey 8. There will also be swing musical entertainment on board.
Another cruise featured is Black Watch’s Iberia eight-night cruise from Dover on October 24, 2008, which has a theme of jazz and popular classics with entertainment by the Phoenix Dixieland Jazz band.
Meanwhile, Balmoral’s November 30 cruise around the Canaries has a rock and roll theme with the Steve Lowe Band and Braemar’s Caribbean cruise on February 5 has a hot latin musical theme.
