Thomson and First Choice have launched their new range of brochures for 2009.
The Thomson Summer Collection 2009 will feature another all-inclusive resort in a bid to cash in on the continued growth of the sector.
General product manager Chris Hackney said the all-inclusive Polynesia resort on the Costa del Sol would appeal to more budget-conscious customers eager to rein in their spending as the economy slows.
He added: “We’re probably going to see more all-inclusives and less self-catering and half-board.”
Thomson has expanded its Platinum collection of four and five-star hotels. It has also added two new hotels to its family collection.
First Choice has revealed Bob the Builder is to perform live at its holiday villages and children will have a chance to have rookie lifeguard lessons.
Hackney added: “The Thomson and First Choice brands are very strong. It is not a case of trying to alter or strengthen either of the brands we’re trying to grow both, with more differentiated product in the programmes.”
Both First Choice and Thomson’s new programmes start on July 24 and are available as brochures and online.
