BA adds Paris, Prague and Reykjavik to London City network

Paris, Prague and Reykjavik are being added to British Airways’ network from London City airport from October.

The Paris Orly service is being transferred to London City from Heathrow, with three flights a day on weekdays and one a day at weekends.

Flights to Paris Charles De Gaulle airport will continue to operate from Heathrow.

The Orly flights will transfer from Heathrow on October 29 and operate similar departure times. Passengers booked on the flights from Heathrow can transfer to London City or receive a full refund.

Orly will be the fifth French route served by BA from the Docklands airport.

The introduction of routes to Prague and Reykjavik will be the first time BA has flown to the Czech Republic or Iceland from London City.

The addition of the three European capitals means that the airline will serve 30 destinations from London City this winter.

Reykjavik will be a winter-only service, replacing flights to Granada in Spain which will continue as a summer-only service, resuming next year.

Six flights a week have been scheduled to Prague and two a week to Reykjavik.

BA customer and commercial general manager Luke Hayhoe said: “Paris and Prague are two great additions to our schedule at London City.

“Well timed flights and a quick and easy journey through the airport will give business customers another option to reach either capital city, which are of course also two of the most popular leisure destinations in Europe.

“Reykjavik is a leisure route, and gateway to some of the most dramatic scenery and skiing that Iceland has to offer.”
