Railtrail Tours has signed a new deal to become the official sponsors of Port Vale Football Club for the forthcoming season.
The one year contract sealed with a five-figure sum sees the North Staffordshire-based rail-specialist tour operator’s name on the back of the team’s shirts while corporate hospitality, advertising and promotional packages are also part of the deal.
Railtrail managing director Dave Felstead said: “Railtrail is growing rapidly, with greatly increased sales, both through high street travel agents and directly to the public.
“This football sponsorship will increase public awareness of our product and, when combined with the high quality corporate hospitality facilities at Vale Park, will enable us to entertain both our suppliers and retailers on match days.”
Port Vale FC chairman Bill Bratt added: “We have been in touch with the team at Railtrail for some time and have worked together on several ideas for the club. I’m delighted we have struck a deal that works for both parties.
“I know many of the Railtrail team are Port Vale supporters through and through and it’s great to have them all aboard.”
