BAA, the airport operator, could face bid approaches for its airports, if a Competition Commission report recommends its break-up.
Speculation is rife that a number of international companies including Manchester Airport Group and Global Infrastructure Partners, a joint venture between Credit Suisse and General Electric.
Other potential bidders mooted include Hochtief, the German construction group and Australia’s Macquarie group.
