First images of U by Uniworld interior released

The first interior image of new river cruise brand U by Uniworld was revealed today.

Two revamped vessels will operate under the new name from next year as the company seeks to attract younger river cruise passengers.

The new brand from Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection aims to provide adventurous travel experiences for 21-45-year-olds.

The image shows a twin-share balcony room which includes a French balcony.

There will be three different room styles available on new renovated sister ships, The A and The B, all with waterfront views.

The other two room styles include a Suite featuring a French balcony and living area, and a triple-sharer studio designed for solo travellers looking to meet likeminded people, according to the company.

Both vessels will have a capacity of 120 passengers. They will be all black outside and feature a sleek interior design with open communal spaces and rooftop lounges.

Other features include a gym, rooftop yoga classes as well as a large fleet of bicycles for passengers to use.

The vessels are due to start sailing in spring 2018 with nine itineraries on the Seine, Rhine, Main and Danube rivers.

The line has also launched a series of webinars to help educate agents about the new brand and what it will offer guests.

The webinars will take place as follows:

August 15 10am and 2pm

August 17 at 12pm and 4pm
