n tap air portugal launches cut-price fare



TAP Air Portugal has launched a Navigator Eurobudget fare, that allows customers to travel Navigator Class for the price of a full economy return. For £468 plus tax, passengers for Lisbon, Porto and Faro will be automatically upgraded and able to use the executive check-in desk, business lounge and receive superior in-flight service.



n lisbon makes magical effort for new year



Lisbon is hoping to attract the weekend-break market with its Magical Night 2000 millennium celebration. Live music, pyrotechnics and an open-air multimedia show are among the highlights. Revellers can see in the New Year from atwo-storey dance floor at Passeio Maritimo in the Alcantara Docks. Two nights’ bed and breakfast at the three-star Hotel Metropole costs from £609 from Magic of Portugal.



n airtours plans edinburgh to faro route



Airtours is planning to start a new route in summer 2000 from Edinburgh to Faro and increased flights from Belfast, Bristol, Cardiff, Gatwick, Manchester, Newcastle and Norwich. Airtours also operates to Faro from Birmingham, East Midlands, Leeds/Bradford, Luton, Stansted and Teesside. Airtours’ lead-in price for seven nights’ self-catering at the Club Alvor Golf apartments is £235, departing Edinburgh in May 2000.
