Accident investigators examine Madrid crash

Accident investigators are examining the wreckage of the Spanair aircraft which crashed at Madrid Barajas airport killing 153 people yesterday.


The Spanair JK 5022 crashed after taking off from Madrid on its way to Las Palmas in the Canary Islands.


Reports claim a fire broke out on one of the MD82 aircrafts engines during its take-off from Terminal 4. 20 people are reported to have survived.
