Peter Deilmann River Cruises has become the first cruiseline to offer a raft of exclusive benefits to The Leading Cruise Agents of the UK members and their consumers.
The deal goes beyond the usual deals in place for cruiseline association members of the LCA by offering exclusive benefits for any agent members and their customers booking 33 of the cruiseline’s itineraries in Europe next year.
Benefits for LCA members include bonus commission payments, a cash incentive to booking agents and allocations held exclusively for LCA members’ customers. For consumers, there are no single supplements on a selected number of staterooms per departure and on board credit.
Peter Deilmann River Cruises managing director Stuart Perl said the deal would help expand the cruiseline’s distribution as well as benefiting agents and consumers. He added: “Over the coming year, it’s our intention to work with an increasing number of specialist agents who provide an excellent personalised service to their clients, as we know this sits well with our own proposition of five star luxury river cruising.”
LCA chairwoman Clare Dudley said a “couple” of other exclusive deals with cruiselines were in the pipeline. “The deal with Peter Deilmann is excellent news for us as. We have tried to do it before but we weren’t able to because the association was run differently,” she added.
