Travel Counsellors has been named regional large company management team of the year.
The company won the prize at the British Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (BVCA) – North West Management Team Awards in Manchester.
The independent travel company was chosen in recognition of its considerable growth since it was backed by private equity house Equistone Partners Europe in 2014.
The annual awards celebrate outstanding UK companies supported by private equity and venture capital funds.
Travel Counsellors and other winners from north-west will now go into the national final to compete against other business from around the UK. The national winners will be revealed at a BVCA gala dinner on November 30 in London.
The firm saw total transactions surpass the £500 million mark in the year to March for the first time since inception.
This international growth has seen the company secure a place in the 2017 Sunday Times HSBC International Track 200, the sixth time it has been included on the list.
The BVCA judges were impressed by firm’s ongoing investment in technology, as well as its strong focus on recruiting the best talent.
