British Airways will become the only airline to run non-stop flights to the Seychelles from the UK next year.
The airline is starting a direct service from Heathrow Terminal 5 on March 24.
The twice-weekly summer service using new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircfraft will operate until October.
Flights will depart on Wednesdays and Saturdays to enable 10-night trips to the Indian Ocean islands.
Return fares start at £699, rising to £3,499 in first class.
BA network and alliances director Sean Doyle said: “The Seychelles is one of the most beautiful places on earth and we’re delighted to be adding this collection of islands to our extensive route network.
“Customers can now get into holiday mode even earlier with British Airways’ direct flights from London taking 10 hours, instead of over 13 hours with a connection in the Middle East.
“As one of the leading luxury holiday destinations, the Seychelles offers customers a wide range of accommodation and activities in stunning natural surroundings.”
