Wendy Wu runs 48-hour flash sale to mark China’s Golden Week

One-way business class upgrades to China with Cathay Pacific are being offered by Wendy Wu Tours in a 48-hour flash sale.

The deal marks China’s Golden Week and National Day and is available for travel agents to book until midnight tomorrow (October 3).

China’s Golden Week is an annual seven-day national holiday and the biggest week for tourism in China when people have a week off to reunite with families and enjoy domestic travel around the country.

Wendy Wu Tours global sales director John Warr said: “China is where it all started for Wendy Wu Tours 23 years ago and today we are the largest escorted tour operator to China in the UK and Australia.

“Many of our customers have travelled time and time again with us to China and so we want to give something back by way of this complimentary upgrade.

“Cathay Pacific has one of the best reputations in the airline industry and is frequently voted the best business class cabin in the world.

“We are delighted to offer this free upgrade on many of our best-selling China holidays including Wonders of China, China Delights and Majestic Yangtze. It’s now easier than ever before for agents to book with us as all of our holidays, including the upgrades, are bookable online.”

While the traditional Golden Week holiday lasts three to five days, mainland workers will gain an extended eight-day break this year, starting from yesterday, as the National Day public holiday coincides with Mid-Autumn Festival.
