The first Yotel in Asia has opened in Singapore.
The property offers 610 rooms known as ‘cabins’ across 30 floors. Room rates start at $164 per night.
The opening follows Starwood Capital Group recently investing $250 million in the business.
In addition to the new city hotel, the company founded by Yo! Sushi creator Simon Woodroffe, also plans open a property at Singapore Changi airport in 2019.
Chief executive, Hubert Viriot, said: “We are thrilled to introduce our cleverly designed cabins, co-working spaces and Club Lounge concept at Yotel to the vibrant city of Singapore.
“We think our innovative style of hospitality will suit those living or visiting the city.”
Yotel currently operates four airport hotels under the Yotelair brand at Gatwick, Heathrow, Amsterdam Schiphol and Paris Charles de Gaulle airports plus three city hotels in New York, Boston and Singapore.
New city hotels are planned for San Francisco, Clerkenwell in London, Dubai, Edinburgh, Miami and Amsterdam.
