ITT 2009 conference destination is Dubai

The Institute of Travel and Tourism’s 2009 conference will take place in Dubai.

The conference will be held at the Intercontinental Hotel, Festival City on 8 to 10 June with speakers already confirmed including Thomas Cook chief executive Manny Fontenla-Novoa.

Government of Dubai, Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing, UK & Ireland director Ian Scott, said: “Dubai is one of the fastest growing, most dynamic destinations on the world and close to one million UK and Irish individuals will visit the emirate this year.

“Growth predictions are staggering, and with the UK being the largest source market in the world by far, the opportunity for the UK travel industry is undeniable.

“With that in mind, bringing the ITT conference to Dubai provides a unique and timely opportunity for me to showcase to ITT members this stunning and diverse destination, from the City to the Palm, the beach to the desert …and more. With Dubai as the host destination, it will certainly be a memorable conference.”
