Former Anatolian Sky boss sets up Diamond Sky Holidays

The founder of failed operator Anatolian Sky has set up a luxury specialist operator called Diamond Sky Holidays.

Akin Koc has announced his new company Diamond Sky Holidays just over a year after the collapse of Anatolian Sky, which specialised in holidays to Turkey and north Cyprus.

Anatolian Sky ceased trading on July 1, 2016, as a result of a downturn in business to Turkey after a series of terrorist attacks on the country.

The new family-run business specialises in small ship cruises; tailormade holidays to Croatia, Montenegro, Turkey and north Cyprus; Greece; Slovenia; Morocco; Egypt and Jordan.

It has plans to expand into long-haul by offering safari holidays to Tanzania, South Africa and Kenya; Mauritius; Sri Lanka; the Maldives; Seychelles and Cuba.

In a statement, Koc said: “I estalished Diamond Sky Holidays to offer to our discerning clients the most selective products using the 26 years’ knowledge and experience I gained in the holiday industry.

“Whilst running my previous company, multi award-winning operator, Anatolian Sky, for 26 years, I personally inspected all products, ensuring the quality of every aspect. For Diamond Sky I have selected only the finest of those collections with unique products such as small ship cruises, tailormade holidays and relaxing beach holidays for families and couples.”
