Azamara Club Cruises will offer its first ever round-trip sailing from Southampton on new ship Azamara Pursuit – formerly P&O’s Adonia.
Pursuit will voyage to Reykjavik, Iceland on August 13 from Southampton before returning to the UK port on August 28.
Azamara Pursuit’s other itineraries – including 15 maiden calls – add more than 61 destinations to the brand – an increase of 40%.
Maiden calls in the programme are: Agadir, Morocco; Antofagasta, the Chilean Fjords, Laguna San Rafael and San Antonio in Chile; the Beagle Channel (which spans Chile and Argentina); Pisco (San Martin), Salaverry (Trujillo) and Lima (Callao) in Peru; Monemvasia, Samos and Spetses in Greece; Maceio, Brazil; Seyoisfjorour, Iceland; and Fowey, UK.
The 704-passenger ship is delivered in March 2018 and will start sailing in August.
Guests will also be able to stay longer and experience more with 48 late night and 26 overnight stays in port.
Richard Twynam, managing director of Azamara Club Cruises UK and Ireland, said: “We are thrilled to announce Azamara Pursuit’s voyages, particularly as its maiden voyage will finish right here in the UK.
“Its second voyage will be our first ever Southampton to Southampton sailing, giving our UK guests the opportunity to enjoy a no-fly cruise to Iceland.
“This is testament to the support that the brand has garnered over the years from the UK market.”
Azamara Pursuit joins similarly sized Azamara Journey and Azamara Quest, taking the brand’s fleet to three.
The three ships allow “guests access to unique ports that larger ships are unable to reach”.
