Abta is to hold its first dedicated cruise event in March next year.
The one-day conference will take place in London on March 14, and will focus on attracting first-time cruisers.
The association is working in association with Clia on the event, which it says will be relevant for cruise providers, cruise specialists and travel agents with an interest in cruise. Travel Weekly will be official media partner.
The conference will be moderated by Abta’s director of destinations and sustainability Nikki White, and confirmed speakers include Stuart Leven, chairman of Clia and vice-president EMEA of RCL Cruises, Jo Rzymowska, vice-president and managing director UK & Ireland and Asia for Celebrity Cruises and Andy Harmer, director UK & Ireland for Clia.
Other companies presenting on the day will include Marella Cruises, The Travel Village Group, P&O Cruises, Deloitte, Uniworld Boutique River Cruises and Silversea Cruises. Delegates will also hear from Tim Reardon, director of policy at the UK Chamber of Shipping.
