Former Holiday Malta and Belleair director Dave Green is joining fast-expanding JTA Travel as head of tour operations.
He previously held a number of senior positions at Thomas Cook Group, including director of independent travel, incorporating Flexibletrips, Thomas Cook Hotels and Hotels4U.
Prior to that Green led the overseas purchasing team at Thomas Cook Tour Operations.
Green will manage the group’s tour operating brands which include its short-haul tour operation Medsun Holidays, long-haul operation JTA Faraway, dynamic packaging cruise operation Needacruise as well as a new brand USA by JTA, which will launch before the end of the year.
JTA managing director Wayne Darrock said the company, better known as a consolidator under its JTA Flights brand, has enjoyed five years of record profit and is currently forecast to reach £100 million in sales in the next 12 months.
He said: “It’s great to have Dave on board with his wealth of knowledge and experience.
“This new role will be essential to our plans to expand our trade -only brands alongside the existing Needacruise, Medsun and JTA long haul flight and holiday brands.
“The new dedicated JTA USA programme being launched for 2018 will be the first of the new brands.”
