Riviera Travel has hired a new key account manager for the south and southeast.
Mark Kidman will start on April 7 and be responsible for looking after agents in the region.
He will report into Riviera Travel national sales manager Claire Hills and his appointment takes the UK and Ireland trade team to nine.
Riviera Travel claims to have grown its trade team by 50% year on year and has “ambitious plans for continued growth”.
Kidman started his career at John Lewis and has held previous commercial roles in travel at Secret Escapes, Tui and Travelex.
His most recent roles were at Sonan Bunkers Group, Groupon and Deliveroo.
Kidman said: “I am beyond excited to announce my new role as key account manager at Riviera Travel.
“With a huge passion for the travel industry, having worked at both Tui and Secret Escapes throughout my career, I believe this will be a fantastic transition into the world of river cruises and tours.
“It’s an incredible honour to be part of the hugely successful trade team at Riviera Travel, as we embark on our journey ahead together.
“I’m truly looking forward to building and enhancing relationships across our key agent partners in the south and, of course, driving continued success along the way.”
Hills added: “It’s certainly exciting times here at Riviera Travel as we welcome Mark to our expanding team.
“We work hard to offer the right support to our valued travel agents as we strive to become the easiest business to do business with.
“We look forward to introducing Mark to our key partners and the team. I know his passion for travel and account management will shine through and he will be a fantastic asset to Riviera Travel.”
