NCL to eliminate fuel supplement

Norwegian Cruise Line is the latest cruiseline to scrap its fuel surcharges.

There will be no surcharges for bookings made after 10 November for sailings departing after 1 January 2010.

For customers already booked, or planning to book before 10 November, the company will refund fuel supplements in the form of an onboard credit.

However, this will be decided on a quarterly basis and is dependent on the price of a barrel of oil remaining below $65.
