Norwegian Cruise Line is offering a new low-cost fare to help its sailings rank higher on online travel agencies’ searches.
In April the line introduced Premium All Inclusive in which items formerly classed as ‘extras’ were included in all cruises.
However, NCL has now launched its Just Cruise fare to run on a limited number of selected sailings.
Just Cruise offers the lowest price available at the time of booking and includes: cabin, service charge, 24-hour dining and a varied entertainment programme.
Travel partners will have access to the current Just Cruise fares through their usual booking channels.
Explaining the line’s decision to introduce Just Cruise fare, Nick Wilkinson, NCL’s vice president and managing director UK & Ireland, the Middle East and Africa, said: “If you go online and you are searching for a product of ours, we want to get that product in the first search of results.
“We want to make sure that NCL is on that front page. If we are page four, five and six the consumer does not go back that far. Our online partners who we are constantly talking to saw an opportunity there.”
