Thomas Cook has revealed new logos and a website for its rebranded homeworking division and Freedom Travel Group members.
The homeworking division, The Co-operative Personal Travel Advisors, was officially rebranded as Freedom Personal Travel Advisors at the group’s annual joint conference in Nottingham.
Two separate light blue logos have been designed for Freedom Personal Travel Advisors and for the Freedom Travel Group consortium.
A third Freedom Travel Group ‘umbrella’ logo is also available while agents can choose to use a logo which incorporates “part of the Thomas Cook Group” if they wish.
The two divisions remain separate but will share joint branding, with the Freedom name to become consumer-facing for the first time.
The move follows the end of Thomas Cook’s joint venture with The Co-operative Group at the end of last year.
Speaking at the conference, Kelly Cookes, head of the Freedom Travel Group, said: “This is a new chapter for Freedom. The end of the JV (joint venture) gives us an excellent opportunity to look at what we want Freedom Travel Group to stand for in the industry and for consumers.
“We are in a time where consumers have never been more brand-conscious. This is about maximising the impact [of our brand] and taking it to the next level.”
She added: “Freedom is a well-known brand in the industry but not well known to consumers; the rebranding gives us the opportunity to change that.”
A new website, freedomtravelgroup.co.uk, for homeworkers and agents in the Freedom Travel Group has also been unveiled. This is aimed primarily at driving incremental business to homeworkers and will include offers and destination information as well as an opportunity for users to find a local Freedom agent or a personal travel advisor.
This week agents will also receive packs with point of sale marketing materials including posters, post cards and leaflets to use to promote their agency and the new branding.
There are currently 140 homeworkers and 155 branches in the Freedom Travel Group consortium.
