Luxury tailormade travel specialist Exosphere has been acquired by rival Oxford Private Travel for an undisclosed sum.
London-based Exosphere, founded by John Saunders, has been offering individually designed holidays to clients round the world since 2006.
The acquisition does not include the Exosphere events business which will be rebranded as Origination.
Saunders will become part of the Oxford Private Travel management team on a part-time basis, working on the transition as well as further business development.
Also joining Oxford Private Travel will be Julia Jossa and Rebecca Ward.
The deal will include the opening of a new London office. The Exosphere name will be “folded into” the Oxford Private Travel brand.
Oxford Private Travel founder Rupert Longsdon said: “I am delighted about this acquisition. I have known John and Exosphere for many years and Exosphere will naturally complement our business having similar values, an engaging and warm culture and extensive skill set.
“It also highlights our desire to grow our Oxford Private Travel brand.”
Saunders added: “This is a great opportunity to take Exosphere Travel to the next level.
“Oxford Private Travel has an excellent reputation and this move offers our clients an even better knowledge base and our team a fantastic new structure.”
