Wizz Air saw passenger carryings rise by 22% last month as the budget carrier flagged up future network expansion.
November passenger numbers were up to 2.1 million over the same month last year with the load factor rising by 1.5 percentage points to 88.3%
The central and eastern European low cost airline’s annual carryings rose by more than 24% to almost 28 million.
The airline’s fleet rose to 87 aircraft as it took delivery of a new Airbus A321neo in November and 22 new routes were announced.
The expansion includes five new services from the UK as Wizz Air acquired former Monarch Airlines take off and landing slots at Luton airport.
This will enable the airline to base an expanded fleet of seven aircraft at Luton from next summer.
