SuperClubs is expanding its Breezes brand in Latin America with resorts due to open in Panama and Brazil next year.
The Jamaica-based all inclusive hotel chain is working with Sunstar Hotel and Development on a 300 room, family-friendly hotel in
Bijao in the Coclé province of Panama.
The Breezes Buzios Resort in Rio de Janeiro will feature a spa, bowling alley, and convention facilities. In addition to rooms and suites, the resort will also feature 110 villas.
This is Breezes’ second property in Brazil – the Breezes Costa Do Sauipe in Bahia opened in 2000.
Newly-appointed president Paul Pennicook said: “We have seen the effects of the economic downturn in the United States but in the last couple of weeks we have seen a pick up in business. The economy is stabilising and the election has made people feel more confident.
“Breezes is a solid brand and is well positioned in the three to four star market. People are opting for all inclusive in this climate because they want complete control over their spending.”
