Jobs could go at Travel 2’s Glasgow reservations centre as part of a structural review across the business.
The company confirmed that staff at its Glasgow reservations centre have entered a consultation period. A total of 300 people are employed at the call centre, but Travel 2 would not confirm how many roles were being reviewed.
A statement said the changes would address duplicate channels and ensure that parent company Stella UK, which also owns Harvey World Travel, Global Travel Group and Travelbag, had a “sustainable, robust and correctly sized structure”.
It read: “Stella UK, and Travel 2 within this, is making long term plans to be in best possible position to achieve growth in the UK market.
“All Stella Travel Services businesses are operating as usual, and all agents working with Travel 2 can book all products with confidence.”
