Bookable websites launched for Future Travel homeworkers

Future Travel is offering its homeworkers individual bookable websites in order to increase sales.

Announced at the Future Travel Conference in Manchester today, the move will allow online enquiries to be directed by location and area of expertise.

David Winterton, commercial and marketing manager, speaking at the event, said: “This is a huge breakthrough for homeworkers as for the first time you [homeworkers] will each have your own websites with bookable functionality.”

Head of Future Travel Sheena Darby added:  “One of the challenges of operating your own business from home is that when you’re not at your desk answering the phone you could be missing out on bookings. The new bookable websites will mean our homeworkers can be in when they are out.  Homeworkers could potentially go on holiday for a week and come back to bookings having being made on their website and thus having earned money.”

The sites – www.futuretravel.co.uk and www.personaltraveladvisors.co.uk – go live this week.

Future Travel also introduced SMS messaging to allow homeworkers to keep in touch with their customers and keep them up to date on their booking.
