Royal Caribbean appoints two new heads of retail for north and south

Royal Caribbean has filled two key trade roles created towards the end of last year.

Vicky Billing and Lucy Preece have been appointed head of retail north and head of retail south respectively.

Both will report directly to Royal Caribbean’s sales director for UK and Ireland, Amanda Darrington.

Darrington told Travel Weekly the pair will spend around half their time on the road as they look “to own the relationship” with key independent retailers.

Preece previously worked as Tui’s strategic account manager for the last 18 months.

Billing has worked in several key roles within Royal Caribbean for six years, including regional sales manager.

Darrington said: “These roles are designed to lead our regional sales managers to further success and solidify the Royal Caribbean brand within their local communities.

“Lucy and Vicky will work closely with myself and head of Ireland Jennifer Callister to drive a cohesive and market leading approach to winning on the high street.”

The two heads of retail will lead a team of four regional sales mangers with each team managing more than 1,000 retail outlets.

The appointments follow the departure of head of retail Sarah Weetman in November.
